Jane Veron is CEO and co-Founder of the Acceleration Project (TAP), a female-founded, female-led non-profit organization offering strategic and tactical guidance to underserved small businesses, particularly those owned by women and People of Color. TAP’s dual mission is to keep local economies vital and channel talent into the economy. The ultimate goal is to create economic equality in underserved communities and to harness talent for social impact.
Jane is mission-driven, seeking to mobilize women for economic impact and merges her business acumen with her management, coaching, public sector and nonprofit work. Prior to TAP, Jane spent her career in strategy and marketing, working at Bain & Company and American Express. Jane also has investor and board experience at Golden Seeds and as the CEO of EJA Industries, a holding company for middle market private equity investments.
Jane was elected Mayor of Scarsdale in March 2021. She has also held local civic leadership positions as Chair of the Planning Board and President of the League of Women Voters. She received the Mayor’s Award for Exceptional Leadership and the Daily Point of Light Award from the organization founded by President George H.W. Bush. Most recently, Jane was selected for inclusion in Crain’s list of Notables in Nonprofit and Philanthropy, and she received the 2021 Global Game Changer award from TalentNomics for “Walking the Talk.”
Jane currently serves on Harvard’s Women’s Leadership Board, Harvard Business School Alumni Board - Diversity on Boards, Nonprofit Westchester Board, and the Regional Plan Association Board. Jane earned a BA magna cum laude from Yale University and an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School.
