Jingyu (Joy) Liu is currently a second-year MPA student at Harvard Kennedy School, pursuing a dual MBA/MPA degree with Stanford and Harvard. She recently completed her MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2024. Joy is dedicated to fostering equitable opportunities and inclusive communities for marginalized individuals, leveraging technology and business as catalysts for transformation.  In 2020, Joy founded Link Afar, an education organization for young adults with visual and hearing disabilities in China. Under her leadership, Link Afar has grown to include a team of 200 teachers and volunteers, serving over 2,000 students.  Alongside her work with Link Afar, Joy served as a strategy director at Microsoft, where she gained significant experience in strategy management, business development, and team leadership.  During her time at Stanford, Joy focused on enhancing the experience of international students like herself. She initiated various community activities and delivered a public speech on respectful cross-cultural communication, available on Stanford's official YouTube channel.
