Han Zhang is a PhD candidate in the Health System track in the Population Health Science Program at Harvard, associated with the Department of Global Health and Population. Her research interests include behavior economics, provider and patient incentives, and implications for health system design, with a focus on developing countries. She is currently studying the payment digitization efforts in health sectors in resource-poor settings and its impact on provider well-being, patient outcomes, and health system efficiency. In other work, she explores the effects of rapid diagnostic tools on provider prescribing behavior in sub-Saharan Africa. Han holds a Bachelor of Medicine and a BA in economics from Peking University, and an MS in global health from Harvard University.
