Aisha Muhammed-Oyebode is an international NGO expert, entrepreneur, author, philanthropist and human rights activist specializing in women and girls issues and opportunities. She is a highly sought after speaker and advisor on social impact with a deep expertise in Africa related women and girls initiatives.

Aisha founded and serves as CEO of the Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF), a non-governmental organization that promotes good governance and is dedicated to engendering socio economic change on the African continent. On the Foundation’s platform are impactful stakeholder driven interventions and advocacy activities that have impacted education and capacity building, with a focus on the girl, child, and women empowerment, disaster risk reduction and management.

MMF is one of the organizations driving the reconstruction of the North East of Nigeria devastated by Boko Haram. In 2012, the MMF established in Kano, North West Nigeria the first crisis and trauma counseling center in Nigeria to provide free support to people struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). MMF was recently appointed by the Federal Government of Nigeria as a partner in the long term care of the of the rescued Chibok girls and has an ongoing discussion on taking over the care of all the failed female suicide bombers currently in the military's care.

Aisha is a co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls movement and drives the group’s activities in Lagos, South West Nigeria. She is also the author of the forthcoming book, The Daughters of Chibok, to be released in the U.S. next spring. The book aims to humanize and memorialize the missing girls, as well as describe how their parents have struggled to cope.

Aisha is also the Group CEO of Asset Management Group Limited (AMG), a company founded in 1991, specializing in real estate development and management and offering real estate across the spectrum; luxury as well as mass housing, using innovative technology and funding structures. AMG facilitated the building of the first mall in Nigeria, the Palms Mall.

Aisha is a non-Executive Director at Lekoil Limited, an AIM listed Company of the London Stock Exchange, with a focus on oil and gas exploration in the African region. She is a also Director of Cambridge Growth Partners, an African focused investment company, Co-owner of BoConcept Nigeria, Pandora Nigeria, and several International retail brands.

Aisha has an LLM in Public International Law from King’s College, University of London and an MBA in Finance from Imperial College, University of London. She is trained as a Lawyer, was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989 and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
