Carol Perrin is the chief executive officer (CEO) of all the companies of Berry Gordy, founder of Motown. Carol oversees all business, entertainment, structural, legal, and financial matters for this iconic multimedia music/entertainment organization. Carol was instrumental in all aspects of production and presentation of the Broadway musical “Motown the Musical” and the documentary “Hitsville: The Making of Motown”. Carol served as a board member of the Berry Gordy Foundation for Truth and Justice. In her prior career, Carol was a principal shareholder and attorney at law with Greenberg Traurig LLP and served on several non-profit boards. She opened Greenberg Traurig’s Los Angeles office as its initial managing partner and focused on national and international business and tax matters, entertainment, real estate and the representation of high net worth individuals. Early in her career, Perrin was the first female partner at Ball, Hunt, Hart, Brown and Baerwitz, whose members included Governor Pat Brown of California and Joseph Ball, a member of the Warren Commission.
