Dr. Ellen Snee has worked at the forefront of women’s leadership development for more than 25 years. Ellen received her doctorate in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University where her research focused on the challenges women face in formal roles of authority. She founded Fine Line Consulting, a firm that provides leadership programs, consulting, and coaching to Fortune 500 companies, professional firms, and nonprofits. Before all that she was a Catholic nun for 18 years. 

A member of the International Women’s Forum, Ellen helped launch and lead the Harvard component of their Fellows program for 10 years. She has served as an advisor to She Can and Rise Up, organizations that empower young women in Africa and Asia. 

From 2009-2015 Ellen was Vice President of Global Leadership Development at VMware. In 2021 she published Lead: How Women in Charge Claim their Authority and is often invited to speak on this topic. The following year Ellen became a Harvard Fellow in the Advanced Leadership Initiative where she pivoted her coaching and consulting work to focus on women in leadership roles in sustainability and climate change.
