
Dr. Guang Yang is Vice Chairman of CTH Group and Atlas Technology. Previously, Dr. Yang was Chairman & CEO of BrightSphere Investment Group (NYSE: BSIG), a New York Stock Exchange listed financial company. BrightSphere was formerly named as Old Mutual Asset Management Company. Dr. Yang spent 15 years with Franklin Templeton Investments as Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager of Global Equities, before starting his own private equity firm. As a private equity investor, he was involved in multi-billion dollar across border M&A transactions together with his global conglomerate clients. Prior to his career in finance, Dr. Yang did postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital and published in Science magazine and other leading scientific journals as the first author. He is active in various non-profit organizations/committees such as being on the board of directors of Atlantic Council, a leading think tank based in Washington DC. He is also active in supporting numerous political candidates running for local and federal elections, including serving as finance committee member. Dr. Yang received a B.S. from University of Science and Technology of China, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from Australian National University.
