
Jake Sortor is an JD/MBA candidate at Harvard Law School and Harvard Business School, where he is also a Fellow at the Center for Public Leadership. He recently founded Rehydrate, a startup dedicated to developing innovative water reuse technologies, as part of his coursework at Harvard and he intends to pursue this company post-graduation. Jake also holds a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Air Force Academy. His diverse experience includes summer internships at Morrison & Foerster LLP, where he focused on transactional law, and significant roles in the U.S. Air Force as an Intelligence Officer and Economics Instructor. Additionally, he contributes to the Defense Innovation Unit’s Commercial Engagement Team as an officer in the Air Force Reserves, focusing on energy portfolio technologies. Jake’s academic and professional journey provides him with a unique perspective on pursuing social progress through both the public and private sectors. He has a strong interest in returning to government service to impact policy and innovation at a larger scale.
