Jose Tomas is a Chilean pursuing an MBA@HBS and an MPA/ID@ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø. He earned his bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. With a diverse background spanning education, private, and public sectors, he began his journey as a teacher at Enseña Chile, part of the Teach for All network, where he served in underprivileged schools in Chile. Then, he ventured into consulting, first as an associate at BCG Chile, and then as a senior consultant at BrainFood. His expertise covered strategic projects across sectors like energy, telco, construction, finance, & education. Later, he worked as an advisor to Chile's Minister of Education. His responsibilities encompassed monitoring and shaping education policies and managing the educational response to the COVID-19. Finally, he dedicated his ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø summer internship to Teaching at the Right Level Africa, working in Zambia for 2 months to analyze a literacy & numeracy program; and his HBS summer internship to Bellwether, working as a consultant in the US education system.
