Naara Cancino Diaz, from Trujillo, Peru, is pursuing a joint degree M.B.A/M.P.A-ID at Harvard University. She graduated from Universidad del Pacifico with a bachelor degree in Economics, and from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru, with outstanding mention as a Master in Sociology. Professionally and academically, Naara has investigated sustainable production alternatives in the Amazon and extractive territories. She has more than three years of experience in the Peruvian public sector, assuming the responsibilities of designing the first Peruvian industrial policy at the Ministry of Production, and developing environmental budget improvements at the Ministry of Economy and Finance. She has also conducted consultancies for UNESCO, IDB, WB, and international mining operations. Her purpose is working to conquer sustainable development in impoverished territories, Naara wants to improve the allocation of international funding for climate change, especially for the developing world with her policy experience and knowledge in the field.
