Paula Madoff is currently an Advisory Director at Goldman Sachs. She has spent 28 years at Goldman Sachs where she was a Partner in the Global Markets Division leading the Interest Rate Products, Derivatives, and Mortgages businesses until her retirement from that role in August 2017. She advised global financial institutions on fixed income investing, capital markets, and risk management. Paula currently serves as Co-Chair of the Goldman Sachs Retirement Committee which oversees all 401K and Pension Plan assets for employee participants.
She was a member of key strategic and operational level committees including the Securities Division Operating Committee, Firmwide New Activity Committee, Securities Division Counterparty Risk Committee, GS Bank USA Client and Business Standards Committee, and was the CEO of Goldman Sachs Mitsui Marine Derivatives Products. Paula was also a senior sponsor for the Women’s Network, LGBTQ Network, Black Professionals Initiative, and creator/sponsor of GS University Securities Division Knowledge Exchange Derivatives Program. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Paula worked as an analyst in Corporate Finance for Bankers Trust and in Mergers and Acquisitions for Wasserstein Perella.
Paula is an experienced public and private corporate board member, and has served as a Lead Independent Director and as a Chair of multiple committees. She serves as a non-executive director on the boards of Great-West Lifeco (GWO), KKR Real Estate Finance Trust (KREF), Tradeweb (TW), Power Corp of Canada (POW), ICE Benchmark Administration, where she is the Chair of the LIBOR Oversight Committee, and Beacon.
Paula is a 2018 David Rockefeller Fellow, a member of the Executive Committee of the Harvard Business School Alumni Board, and of the Hudson River Park Friends board. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics, cum laude, from Lafayette College. She lives with her husband and three children in New York City.
