The  (CPL) is one of several research centers at Harvard Kennedy School offering scholarship and fellowship opportunities for master’s degree candidates. 

Student fellowship programs stand at the heart of the CPL’s mission to develop principled, effective public leaders capable of solving the world’s most pressing problems. In addition to receiving tuition support, CPL fellows participate in a robust cohort-based co-curricular program grounded in servant leadership and experiential learning.

Unless otherwise noted, interested applicants should apply for these awards through the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø Application for Financial Assistance, which must be submitted by Friday, January 12, 2024 at 12 p.m. ET.

Emirates Leadership Initiative Fellowship

For students with a demonstrated interest in developing leadership and public management skills in countries within the Arab League

Equity Fellowship

For students who plan to devote their careers to understanding and dismantling barriers to equity across society

The Center for Public Leadership (CPL)’s  supports students who plan to devote their careers to understanding and dismantling barriers to equity across society, particularly for the Black/African American and Latino communities in the United States, and other marginalized populations.  

George Fellowship

Supports selected students in the third year of the joint degree program offered through HBS and ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø. Note that eligible students will be contacted by CPL in the spring semester of their second year of study.

Gleitsman Leadership Fellowship

For students with a strong background in, or potential for, leadership in social activism

Rubenstein Fellowship

Supports students admitted to the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø/HBS joint degree program with demonstrated commitment to public service. Note that applicants admitted to the ÌÇÐÄvlog¹ÙÍø/HBS joint degree program will be contacted about participation in the Rubenstein Fellowship.

Zuckerman Fellowship

For students who have completed, are currently enrolled in, or are accepted and will enroll in an MBA, JD, MD, or DMD/DDS degree from an accredited U.S. institution. Note that candidates wishing to be considered for the Zuckerman Fellowship should  apply for the fellowship through the .
