Juneteenth (June 19) is a day of reflection and remembrance to commemorate when enslaved Black people in Texas finally received word that the Emancipation Proclamation, signed by President Lincoln more than two and a half years earlier, was fully effective, and the Civil War was over.  This Friday marks the 155th anniversary of Juneteenth.

Harvard Kennedy School's Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging has compiled resources for reflection on Juneteenth.
