A message from Dean Douglas Elmendorf

To the Harvard Kennedy School Community,

In the wake of the rulings by the U.S. Supreme Court in the cases challenging certain college admissions practices, I urge you to by Harvard University’s senior leaders that was just released.

These rulings may have significant effects on U.S. higher education and our broader society, and I know that many of you will have your own reactions. If you are interested in hearing the perspectives of some of the Kennedy School’s faculty experts about the potential effects of the rulings, in advance and then join a webinar on Friday, July 21, at 11 a.m. EDT. Professors Chris Avery, Cornell Brooks, Khalil Muhammad, and Deval Patrick will offer their views in a panel discussion that will be moderated by Adjunct Lecturer Sarah Wald. We will undoubtedly have more discussions about these rulings in the months to come.

Sincerely,
Douglas W. Elmendorf
