McCarthy was recently awarded the Manuel C. Carballo Award for Excellence in Teaching at the 2019 Class Day awards at Harvard Kennedy School. Voted by the Kennedy School student body, it recognizes the faculty member’s dedication to students, excellence in the professional field, and commitment to public service.
