Jimmy Lee, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow at the Global Poverty Research Lab (Northwestern University) and a visiting scholar at Harvard Graduate School of Education working with Professor Vesall Nourani. Jimmy is a development economist who collaborates closely with governments and NGOs to improve agricultural productivity, rural education, and the lives of youth in Sub-Saharan Africa. His current projects highlight the critical importance of intra-household dynamics in the success of a school-based agricultural extension program in Liberia. His papers show that developing countries can establish a system that both amplifies technology diffusion and strengthens rural education. Jimmy obtained his PhD in economics from Northwestern University in 2024.
