Akshay Dixit studies how people form beliefs about fairness and inequality in India, and how that shapes support for redistributive policies. In collaboration with Rachel Brulé, he is examining the effect of weather shocks, including droughts and floods, on women’s collective political engagement and fairness beliefs in Bangladesh.
