February 27, 2025, Paper: "Clinicians and health policy researchers are tempted to evaluate the likely effects on health by the medical policies of the Trump administration, but this is incorrect. Many of the largest effects of the administration on health are likely to occur through its nonmedical policies. One area where the effects on health might be large is immigration policy. Unfortunately, the plans of the administration could be substantially detrimental, and health care organizations might need to push for targeted policy actions at the federal level to redress some of the unintended effects."
