Diversity is an asset to any organization. It strengthens relations among employees, clients, and the community to drive greater overall impact across public, private, and nonprofit organizations.

Harvard Kennedy School's Promoting Racial Equity in the Workplace is a one-week Executive Education program that shows leaders how to increase diversity, inclusion, and racial equity for greater organizational effectiveness. It also examines how to foster relationships with diverse populations.

Join a global cohort for live online sessions led by Faculty Chair Dr. Robert Livingston and featuring an array of expert guest speakers. You will discover how to realize performance advantages by attracting the best and brightest while gaining a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the differences in your workforce and your community.

Beginning with a conceptual overview, Promoting Racial Equity in the Workplace outlines the practical requirements for improving upon the diversity within your organization and building strategic communications skills to enhance interaction with diverse populations. Through exposure to cutting-edge, evidence-based research, you will gain insights into effective hiring, motivation, team building, innovation, and decision making.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Promoting Racial Equity in the Workplace outlines key concepts and strategies for enhancing diversity, inclusion, and racial equity, including:

  • Learning to recognize implicit bias and blind spots
  • Conducting effective conflict resolution

  • Building mission, motivation, and core values
